QGIS : Essentials for Water Modelling By IHE- Delft , Institute for Water Education

Are you interested in discovering the essentials of QGIS for water modelling? QGIS is a free and open-source cross-platform desktop geographic information system application that is used by water modellers to support viewing, editing, and analysis of geospatial data.

You can learn more about it from IHE Delft Associate Professor of GIS and Spatial Data Management Hans van der Kwast, who recently spoke at a webinar hosted by the Australian Water School. The webinar explored processing tools from the PCRaster Tools plugin and visualization of flow direction using the Mesh Styling panel, as well as new styling and print layout features of QGIS for creating beautiful catchment maps.

More than 700 people from 55 countries took part – if you weren’t one of them you can still watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9hmN-szO4k
