တစ်ချိန်က ပုဂံဘုရားဖူးသွားခဲ့စဉ် ဘုရားစျေးတန်းတွေမှာ မြန်မာ့ရီုးရာ ရုပ်သေးရုပ်တွေကို အမှတ်တရအဖြစ် ချိတိဆွဲပြသ ရောင်းချနေကြတာ တွေကို နေရာအများမှာတွေ့ခဲ့ရတယ်.။ သဘောကျ ဝမ်းသာစရာပါ။
ယဉ်ကျေးမှုနဲ့ ရီုးရာဓလေ့ တွေကို ချစ်ခင်တွယ်တာတတ်ကြတဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာက ကမ္ဘာလှည့်ခရီးသည် တွေ အတွက် အဓီကရည် ရွယ်ရောင်းချနေကြတာလို့ ထင်မိတယ်.

အတွင်း IHE Delft နိုင်ငံတကာရေအား ဟိုက်ဒရောလစ်နည်းပညာ တက္ကသိုလ် ကျောင်းတော်ကြီးမှာ မြစ်ဝကျွန်းပေါ် ရေအားနည်းပညာတွေသင်ပေးခဲ့ တဲ့၊မြန်မာပြည်မှာလဲ ဆိပ်ကမ်းအလုပ် တွေ သွားရောက်ကူညီလုပ်ပေးခဲ့ဘူးတဲ့ ဆရာတစ်ယောက် က အာရှသံယောစင်ရှိတယ်ထင်တယ်.
ကျောင်းပိတ်ရက်တစ်ရက်မှာသူ့တပည့် ကျွန်တော်တို့ အာရှ နိုငံစုံက ကျောင်းသားအချို့ကို သူ့အိမ်မှာ ဆုံကြဘို့ဖိတ်ခေါ် ပြီး ထမင်း ခေါ် ကြွေးပါတယ်.
ဝမ်းသာစရာ ထူးထူးခြား တွေ့ခဲ့ရတာက သူ့အိမ် ဧည့်ခန်းမှာတွေ့ခဲ့လိုက်ရတာက မြန်မာ ရုပ်သေးမင်းသမီးရုပ်ကို သူ့အိမ် ဧည့်ခနိးမှာမြန်မာပြည်ပြန် အမှတ်တရ အဖြစ် ချိတ်ဆွဲပြသထား တာကို ဝမ်းသာစွာတွေ့ခဲ့ရဘူးတယ်.

အင်ဒိုနီးရှားနိုင်ငံကို ရောက်ခဲ့စဉ်က တွေ့ခဲ့ရတာက သူတို့ရဲ့ ရီုးရာ လက် ရုပ် သေး အက အရိပ် ပြပွဲ ကို ထူးခြားစွာတွေ့မြင် ကြည့် ခဲ့ရဘူးတယ်.။

Despite initially following an academic path like her parents, her destiny was forever altered by her father’s passion for Myanmar’s unique string puppetry tradition.
From a young age, Daw Ma Ma Naing was immersed in this artform, accompanying her father U Thein Naing, a famed writer on Burmese puppets, to visit master puppeteers. These formative experiences, including witnessing the legendary Shweibo Tin Mg’s performances, ignited her own obsession with marionettes.
In 1990, she took a leap of faith, founding the Mandalay Marionettes (now Myanmar Marionette Theatre) to promote this fading cultural treasure to foreign visitors while improving her English skills. What began as an entrepreneurial endeavor became a life’s mission to revive and preserve an art form once the revered entertainment of Burmese royalty. Daw Ma Ma Naing shares how the incredible skill of puppeteers could inspire human dancers to imitate the lifelike marionette movements. Her transfixing performance displays the magic of this comparative dance between puppets and people – a testament to puppetry’s enduring legacy in Myanmar.
As the chairperson of the Myanmar Marionette Committee, she has participated in international puppetry festivals while authoring books to educate the world about this vanishing cultural gem. Her inspiring TEDx talk reminds us to cherish the arts that shaped our heritage.
